Ukrainian Para Triathletes Shine at the 2025 World Cup

The Ukrainian national team in para triathlon has successfully wrapped up the 2025 competitive season, achieving two medals at the World Triathlon Para Cup held from October 24 to 27 in Alanya, Turkey, with 90 athletes from 15 countries participating.

Five athletes with disabilities represented Ukraine, including 4 with mobility impairments and 1 visually impaired athlete (totally blind), along with 1 guide. They competed in 4 out of the 11 events available at the World Cup and secured 1 silver and 1 bronze medal.

Individual results of the athletes:

  • Kolpakchi Alisa Volodymyrivna RТS5 (women), 2nd place
  • Oleksyuk Vita Mykolayivna (guide Matsupko Natalia) PTVI (women), 3rd place
  • Perkrest Valeriy RТS3 (men), 4th place
  • Hegas Yaroslav Gryhorovych RТS4 (men), 9th place
  • Tovstyk Pavlo Volodymyrovych RТS4 (men), 11th place

The overall team ranking of the Para Triathlon World Cup in Alanya was not conducted. For veterans Yaroslav Hegas and Pavlo Tovstyk, this event marked their international debut in para triathlon, where they immediately competed in the professional category. Congratulations to our debutants on a successful start on the international stage! And also to the entire Ukrainian team for their commendable performance at the World Cup.
