Ukrainian athlete Andriy Tkachuk has emerged victorious in the 24-hour ultramarathon held from October 18 to 19. The event took place in Albí, attracting over 200 participants. British runner Sarah Webster took the win among women.
It's noteworthy that Tkachuk is a participant in the Russian-Ukrainian war, serving in the "Sich" battalion to defend his country in the east.
In 2019, he participated in the ultramarathon in Albí, finishing in 10th place with a distance of 262.788 km. Last year, Tkachuk won BukoTrail-2024, completing 78 km. He also holds the national record of Ukraine – at the 48-hour running championship, he covered 435.466 km.
