Marta Kostyuk (28) confidently moved on to the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing. In the second round, the Ukrainian player defeated German competitor Ella Seidel (95).
The match lasted just 59 minutes and ended with a score of 6:1, 6:1.
From the very first point, Kostyuk took control of the game and looked unusually confident on her serve and during crucial points. This immediately highlighted the class difference between the players.
The only minor issue was having to fend off three break points from her opponent while serving for the first set. However, Marta managed to handle this and ultimately secured an easy victory.
Here’s a brilliant rally won by the 23-year-old Ukrainian at the end of the match.
Throughout the match, Kostyuk served 4 aces, committed no double faults, and made 5 breaks. Her opponent did not serve any aces, made 6 faults on serve, and did not achieve any breaks.

Second round, September 27. Marta Kostyuk (Ukraine)  – Ella Seidel (Germany) 6:1, 6:1
The competitors had not faced each other before. In the next round, Kostyuk will play against the winner of the match between Naomi Osaka (14, Japan) and Alexandra Sasnovich (130, -).
Marta remains the only representative of Ukraine in the singles draw in Beijing. Earlier, in the second round match, Spanish player Jessica Bouzas Maneiro (48) lost to Dayana Yastremska (31).
