Ukrainian Team Achievements at the 2025 World Rowing Championships

At the 2025 World Rowing Championships held in Shanghai, China, the Ukrainian team achieved its first medals - gold and silver.
According to Public Sport, two-time world championship medalist Anna Sheremet and two-time Paralympic champion Roman Polyansky participated in the finals of para-rowing in single sculls PR1.
Anna Sheremet made history by winning gold, becoming a world champion for the first time, after previously earning two bronze medals in world championships in 2022 and 2023.
She maintained her lead throughout the race, uniting the titles of world and European champion in the PR1 class in 2025.
Roman Polyansky, who became a Paralympic champion in 2016 and 2021, won silver at the Paralympics in Paris.
In Shanghai, he was in second place from the start, trailing British athlete Benjamin Prichard, finishing 7.09 seconds behind him.
Additionally, in the mixed double sculls PR3 final, our athletes Stanislav Samoluk and Daria Kotik qualified, having secured second place in the semifinals and will compete for medals on Sunday, September 28.
