In recent times, the realm of weightlifting records has expanded to include children, with young talents emerging as remarkable competitors. One such athlete is 12-year-old Andriy Birtsiv, who has made his mark in the National Record Registry.

Andriy achieved an impressive feat by performing 41 clean and jerk lifts with two 8 kg kettlebells in just 60 seconds, showcasing impeccable technique. His coach, Anton Bilodid, received acknowledgment for his vital role in this achievement.

“The strength records we register must adhere to strict technical standards,” emphasized Lana Vetrova, the head of the National Record Registry.

Originally from Donetsk, Andriy moved to Dnipro with his family in 2017. He began training in sports acrobatics and gymnastics at the age of three. Currently, he is also involved in judo at the Taifu club and practices crossfit at Street Feet.

Despite his busy sports schedule, Andriy excels academically, having completed all six grades with excellent marks and commendations.

Andriy is already planning to set another record soon, supported by his coaches and friends.
