At the 2025 World Championships held in Tokyo, Ukrainian athlete Olga Korsun struggled to make it past the qualification round in the triple jump.
Her best attempt reached 13.40 meters, but two of her jumps were disqualified due to fouls. Consequently, she ended up in 16th place in Group A, resulting in an overall 32nd position that was insufficient to advance to the finals.
This championship marked her first appearance at the World Championships. Previously, she had failed to qualify for the 2024 Olympics and finished 11th at the 2024 European Championships.
Meanwhile, Mykhailo Kokan successfully advanced to the finals in hammer throw. Marina Kilypko and Yana Hladiychuk were unable to qualify for the pole vault finals: Kilypko stopped at 4.45 m, while Hladiychuk could not clear the starting height of 4.25 m. A jump of 4.60 m was required to qualify for the finals.
