On the occasion of Sports Day, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko congratulated the sports community of Kyiv. On this day, athletes, coaches, and veterans received acknowledgments from the city: honorary diplomas and thanks from the Mayor of Kyiv. More than 100 individuals were honored.

The achievements of Ukrainian athletes on the global stage represent not only medals but also a testament to our resilience and indomitable spirit. Even in wartime, Ukrainian athletes continue to fight and win.
Many athletes, coaches, and officials have taken up arms to defend our country. Many are also volunteering to support our soldiers.
Sadly, there are also many who paid the ultimate price for our freedom, giving their lives. Our champions will never again stand on the podium of honor.
