Natalia Zharkova has emerged as a champion in freediving, winning gold at the CMAS World Championship held in Mitikas, Greece.
The diver from Kharkiv stunned everyone by diving to a depth of 113 meters in the constant weight with fins (CWT) discipline. This achievement not only earned her victory but also established a new national record for Ukraine, surpassing her closest rival by four meters.
The depth of Natalia's record dive is comparable to the height of skyscrapers in the capital: it exceeds the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine (106 m) and is just slightly below the 27-story 101 Tower (116 m).
We warmly congratulate Natalia and continue to support the Ukrainian team at the World Championship, which will run until September 17!
