In the 1/8 finals of the 75 kg weight category, our boxer triumphed over Sabirzhan Akkalikov from Kazakhstan with a score of 3:2. Now, on September 10, he will compete against Azerbaijani fighter Said Jamshid Jafarov for a spot in the semi-finals.
Aider Abduraimov (up to 60 kg) made his mark as well but was eliminated in the 1/8 finals, losing to European vice-champion Radoslav Rosenov from Bulgaria with a score of 0:5.
Irina Lutak also did not advance to the quarter-finals in the 80 kg category, losing to Emily Asquith from England by unanimous decision of the judges — 0:5.
