Yaroslava Mahuchikh — the silver medalist at the Diamond League Final. In Zurich, the Ukrainian world record holder in high jump earned her fifth consecutive medal at this prestigious athletics tournament.

In the contest for the season's main diamond in women's high jump, the Ukrainian athlete finished behind Nicola Olyslaegers. The Australian cleared a height of 2.02 m on her first attempt, while Yaroslava succeeded on her second try. Olyslaegers then jumped 2.04 m, and Mahuchikh decided to increase the height to 2.06 m. No athlete managed to clear this height, resulting in Nicola Olyslaegers winning with a personal best of 2.04 m. Yaroslava ended her three-year winning streak in Diamond League finals, finishing in second place, matching her season best of 2.02 m.

Another Ukrainian, Yuliya Levchenko, placed fourth, clearing a height of 2.00 m for the first time in five years. She was edged out by British athlete Morgan Lake based on the number of attempts, who set a national record.

Congratulations to Yaroslava, and tomorrow in the second day of the Diamond League Final, we will be cheering for Oleg Doroshchuk in the men's high jump!
