Central defender Illya Zabarnyi, previously with Bournemouth and the Ukrainian national team, has now joined Paris Saint-Germain.

The club, current UEFA Champions League holder, announced the news through an official statement.

Zabarnyi arrived in Paris with his wife Angelina, where he underwent a medical examination and finalized the contract.

The Ukrainian player signed a contract with the Parisian club until 2030, with the transfer fee reported to be 63 million euros plus bonuses according to Transfermarkt. He will wear the number 6 jersey.

Thus, Zabarnyi's transfer becomes the second most expensive among Ukrainian players, with Mykhailo Mudryk's transfer to Chelsea for 70 million euros in 2023 still holding the top spot.

Additionally, the total value of all of Illya's transfers throughout his career now stands at 85.7 million euros, making him the most valuable player in the history of Ukrainian football.
