A new memorial has been unveiled in Kyiv on the Alley of Defenders, dedicated to the soldiers of the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, this memorial serves as a symbol of gratitude for the heroism displayed by the Territorial Defense soldiers, who have become an integral part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In 2022, the Territorial Defense Forces provided reliable support to the frontline units, engaging in defensive battles alongside mechanized units to liberate Ukrainian cities and villages. Today, the Territorial Defense units represent a strong component of the Ukrainian military, underscoring their combat power. Kyiv continues to foster a new culture of respect and appreciation for the defenders of our nation.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Command of the Territorial Defense Forces, the cultural union “Cultural Forces”, military personnel from various branches, veterans of the Russo-Ukrainian war, clergy, and officials from the Kyiv City Military Administration.
