In New York, Olena Zelenska held an important meeting with the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump. She expressed her gratitude for the support for Ukraine, especially for the children who have become victims of the war waged by the Russian Federation against our country. This was reported by the Office of the President on the evening of September 25.
Olena Zelenska specifically thanked Melania for a letter — a call to the Russian leader advocating for peace for children.
The two First Ladies discussed the significance of protecting shared values, particularly those of children and their happy childhood.
“I believe in the power of kindness, in humanity, empathy, and the ability to change the world for the better. I am confident that together we can help all children in need,” — noted Olena Zelenska.
The First Lady of Ukraine expressed her gratitude for the meeting and voiced hope for further cooperation to protect children in our country and around the world.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky met with U.S. President Donald Trump during the UN General Assembly session in New York.
