Starting November 29, the National Complex «Expo Center of Ukraine» in Kyiv will launch the eleventh season of one of the most beloved projects among Ukrainians — the «Winter Country». The VDNH team invites everyone to embrace the festive spirit and enjoy the New Year atmosphere, even as autumn lingers.
Guests will be greeted at the main entrance by a massive light photo zone and an avenue adorned with sparkling Christmas trees, leading into a magical realm. The air will be filled with the scent of cinnamon and mulled wine, festive tunes will play, and snowmen will entertain with flash mobs, alongside the grand Christmas tree.
This year, the ice rink, covering over 3000 m², aims to claim the title of the largest in Ukraine. At the center of the ice arena, a fairytale tower with a clock will be installed, while a new year train will provide a prime photo opportunity. Additionally, a magical clock counting down to the festivities will be affixed to the central pavilion of the Expo Center.
The «Santa's Residence» will also return, now larger and more accommodating for visitors in Pavilion No. 1. Here, guests can enjoy enchanting decorations, drop off letters with wishes in a New Year mailbox, and meet Santa and his elf helpers. Nearby, the «Christmas Dream Factory» will bring children's fantasies to life, where elves assist in creating ornaments and fulfilling wishes.
This year, the «Winter Country» will introduce a new area where snow will remain regardless of the weather outside. Visitors will be able to build snowmen, create snow angels, and engage in snowball fights. Snow-covered decorations will enhance the magical atmosphere throughout the venue.
The favorite attraction from previous seasons, the Illuminarium light installation park, will continue at the site of the «V'yava» art space, promising visitors hundreds of bright photos and new thematic photo zones in the «Greenhouse of Charms». Additionally, «Shumiland» invites everyone to step into a magical world of dinosaurs and enchanting creatures through arches and illuminated pathways.
On the central square of VDNH, there will be traditional winter attractions, including a slide, a Ferris wheel, carousels, and extreme rides. A Christmas market will offer mulled wine, treats, grilled dishes, and handcrafted souvenirs. The Warm Alley with a food court will delight visitors with New Year melodies and live performances on weekends. Throughout the winter season, the Northern Express with an audio tour will circulate, spreading festive cheer.
Overall, the «Winter Country» will feature around 20 themed locations daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, complete with warm relaxation areas and shelters in case of air alerts. In case of power outages, all zones will operate on their generators, with pathways illuminated by energy-efficient LED lighting.
