The Largest Ukrainian Flag Lowered Due to Weather Conditions

Today, October 30th, the largest flag of Ukraine, located at the Memorial Complex «National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II», has been lowered due to anticipated bad weather. This information was provided by the Kyiv City Administration «Kyivzelenbud».
According to meteorologists, wind gusts of 15-20 m/s are expected (yellow level of danger). To protect the fabric from damage, the flag will remain lowered until the end of October 31st.
It is worth noting that the flagpole, on which the largest flag of Ukraine flies, is situated on the Pechersk Hills. Its height is nearly 90 meters, weight is 32 tons, and the dimensions of the fabric are 16 by 24 meters.
