Since the launch of the «eBook» initiative, over 200,000 young Ukrainians have taken advantage of this opportunity. This was announced by the Ukrainian Book Institute.
The «eBook» program ensures that Ukrainians turning 18 in 2024 or 2025 can receive 908 hryvnias to buy books.
Applications for the program can be submitted from the day a person turns 18 until they turn 19.
Funds must be used within three months to purchase physical, electronic, or audiobooks exclusively in Ukrainian from participating bookstores and publishers.
During the three quarters of 2025, the «eBook» program facilitated the purchase of 359,000 books, averaging 1,330 books sold daily.
Program users frequently bought books from publishers such as KSD (Kharkiv), Vivat (Kharkiv), BookChef (Kyiv), Ranok (Kharkiv), VSL (Lviv), RM Publishing (Kyiv), Folio (Kharkiv), Nasha Idea (Dnipro), Artbooks (Kyiv), and Vikhola (Kyiv).
The most popular authors included Collin Hoover, Tess Gerritsen, Penelope Douglas, Brianna West, and Agatha Christie.
The total number of books sold by the top five authors reached 44,000, accounting for 12.46% of all books sold.
Volodymyr Stanchyshyn emerged as the most popular Ukrainian author by sales, followed by Illarion Pavliuk in second, and Andrii Sem'yankiv in third.
