The energy network of Ukraine is fully prepared for the winter season as of October 17, stated Vitaliy Zaychenko, the head of NEC "Ukrenergo".
During a meeting with the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, he remarked: "Given the Russian bombardments, we cannot claim that we will face no difficulties during the heating season. Unfortunately, attacks on energy facilities continue, impacting supply stability".
Zaychenko emphasized the importance of collaboration with businesses to engage backup power sources into the Ukrainian energy market.
"This is essential for improving the distributed generation system, which is a key factor in our energy resilience," he added.
According to data from electricity producers, the increase in gas turbine generation in Ukraine has reached 270% as of October this year, indicating a notable expansion in energy capabilities.
