Starting in 2026, couples in Ukraine will be able to obtain an online divorce through the Diia app. Spouses without minor children can swiftly submit a divorce application without needing to visit the registry office. This decision was made on October 8, 2025, by the Cabinet of Ministers, as announced by Prime Minister Julia Svyrydenko.
“This new process will be much simpler, eliminating the need for lengthy queues and paperwork,” she emphasized.
After submitting the application, Diia will automatically verify the information in the registers, and the marriage will be dissolved within a month. During this period, the application can be revoked. The divorce certificate will also be available in the app.
