The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has signed a decree establishing a new holiday - Electronic Warfare Forces Day, to be celebrated every year on September 12.
This was reported by Zelensky himself.
The document emphasizes that the holiday has been introduced to strengthen national military traditions, recognizing the crucial role of electronic warfare forces in defending Ukraine against armed aggression and providing electromagnetic protection for critical infrastructure.
The decree took effect on the day of its publication.
Zelensky also congratulated the military on their professional holiday, stressing that electronic warfare soldiers "invisibly, yet very professionally work to protect Ukraine".
"Electronic warfare forces neutralize enemy drones and missiles, protect positions, maintain communication between units, and help our soldiers stay safe. I thank each and every one of you for this crucial work. You save lives every day and make our army stronger. We will always remember and be grateful to those who gave their lives in this war. Eternal and bright memory. Thank you. Happy Electronic Warfare Forces Day!" - stated Zelensky
