On September 3, the Lviv factory "Electron" unveiled its latest electric bus model, the E181.

This was announced by Dmytro Kysylevskyi, deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development.

According to him, the main feature of the model is its compact length of 10.2 meters. The electric bus can accommodate 90 passengers, including 30 seated positions, one of which is designed for passengers with disabilities.

"A single charge of the battery lasts for 300-350 kilometers. Charging takes up to 5 hours. This electric bus can operate in a regenerative mode, meaning that during braking, some energy is returned to the batteries," Kysylevskyi noted.

He emphasized that this is high-quality equipment, offering service support from the manufacturer and the ability to customize the vehicles to meet client needs.

The localization level of the new model exceeds 40%.

"This innovative project was made possible by the "Made in Ukraine" policy. The localization requirement in public procurement, introduced in 2022, has allowed the "Electron" group to invest more confidently in R&D and launch production," Kysylevskyi stated.

As a result, he mentioned, not only the companies of the group in Lviv have benefited, but also over 250 Ukrainian suppliers of components and spare parts located across the country. This translates to thousands of additional jobs.
