In the Kyiv region, 124 people with disabilities and elderly residents have been evacuated from Donetsk. They are receiving necessary care and medical assistance.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Community Development, the region continues to take in the most vulnerable residents. This was reported by Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
According to him, evacuation groups have arrived in Kyiv region three times. Initially, 20 individuals were transported, followed by another 52, and on Independence Day, an additional large group of 52 people. In total, 124 individuals with disabilities and elderly residents have been accommodated in the region.
All of them are located in care facilities where they receive housing, attention, and medical assistance. Some of the injured civilians were immediately sent to hospitals.
As noted by the head of the KOVA, there is still a lot of work ahead since the evacuated individuals have lost their homes and require long-term support.
