The Ukrainian rocket known as "Flamingo" is poised to enter mass production shortly. President Volodymyr Zelensky made this announcement during a press meeting on August 20, as reported by "RBK-Ukraine".
"By December, we expect to see an increase in their numbers. Mass production is scheduled for late December or January-February, depending on the success of tests and funding for the program," he stated.
Zelensky also revealed that initial tests of the Ukrainian rocket have already been completed.
"This rocket is currently our most successful one. It has a range of 3000 kilometers, which is crucial," the head of state emphasized.
He added that it is premature to disclose further details about the rocket until it can be deployed in larger quantities.
Earlier reports indicated that series production of the "Flamingo" rockets had begun in Ukraine, along with the release of the first launch videos. Journalists from "Mirror of the Week" reported that the "Flamingo" has a warhead weighing 1150 kg and a flight range of 3000 km, enabling it to strike previously unreachable targets behind enemy lines. The rocket is also shielded against electronic warfare.
The first photo of the "Flamingo" rocket was published by photographer Yefrem Lukatsky.
