This morning, a tragic bus accident occurred in the Sancaktepe district of Istanbul, leading to the deaths of three individuals and injuring twenty others.

The Istanbul governorate issued a statement regarding the incident.

On August 18 at 06:15, a bus on the Istanbul-Northern Marmara highway near the town of Pashaköy lost control and crashed into a barrier.

Preliminary reports indicate that out of 35 passengers, three lost their lives, while twenty sustained injuries. The injured were quickly transported to regional hospitals for medical assistance, and an investigation into the accident has been initiated.

Currently, there is no information regarding the presence of Ukrainian citizens on the bus.
