Ukrhydroenergo's Preparations for the Heating Season

Due to low water reserves in reservoirs, Ukrhydroenergo is implementing measures to optimize resource usage in anticipation of the winter season.

This was reported by the company's press service.

"This year, we have recorded the lowest water levels in a decade, attributed to insufficient river flow rates," the statement reads.

In addition to electricity generation, Ukrhydroenergo is also obligated to supply water to consumers. Thus, it is crucial to maintain a certain reserve and adhere to water level regulations in reservoirs.

"Unfortunately, the current water levels are significantly lower than last year. However, the company is making every effort to achieve sufficient reserves by autumn. To prepare the hydropower plants for winter, Ukrhydroenergo will use water strategically to accumulate adequate supplies in reservoirs," the press service emphasized.

Moreover, Ukrhydroenergo continues to work on restoring and protecting its facilities and is conducting scheduled maintenance at its hydropower plants.

As previously reported, Ukrhydroenergo has signed a memorandum of cooperation with consulting firm PADECO Co., Ltd for the implementation of the Kaniv Pumped Storage Plant project.
