Ukrzaliznytsia has blocked 271 accounts that were misusing the company's application for bulk ticket purchases.

This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.

Users of these accounts attempted to use the UZ app, designed for individual ticket purchases, for other purposes:

• they created multiple linked accounts and bought a small number of tickets from each to circumvent blocking;
• they tried to hold tickets without proceeding to payment, presumably waiting for a «reservation»;
• they purchased numerous tickets under different names and engaged in other actions detected by the anti-fraud system.

“In line with financial institutions, Ukrzaliznytsia has intensified customer identification processes and implemented a monitoring system to track abnormal user activities while using our online services,” the statement reads.
