In July 2025, there has been a notable rise in COVID-19 hospitalizations in Kyiv.

This information was provided by the Kyiv Department of Health.

As of July 1, there were 15 patients in the hospitals, and this number has now increased to 68, including 24 children.

Patients with severe illness requiring constant medical supervision and oxygen support are being admitted to hospitals.

The Department of Health urges Kyiv residents to carry masks with them during air raid alerts in shelters.

“In light of the increasingly severe enemy attacks, we remind you: shelters are your salvation!

However, staying in enclosed spaces with limited ventilation increases the risk of infection, including COVID-19,” experts say.

The department also reminds everyone of basic preventive measures:

  • remember to wear a mask in enclosed spaces without waiting for official orders;
  • wash your hands regularly or use hand sanitizer;
  • stay home and consult a doctor at the first signs of illness.
