Beware: New Scam Masquerading as UN Financial Aid

A new dangerous scam has emerged online, disguised as financial support from the UN. Users are receiving fake links aimed at collecting their personal data.

The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council's Center for Counteracting Disinformation warns about this fraudulent scheme. Messages sent to users invite them to click on a link to a fake website to apply for 10,800 hryvnias in aid.

Official sources confirm that the UN does not make payments through such methods and does not provide financial assistance via unverified websites.

Experts urge caution, advising people not to click on suspicious links and not to share personal information with unknown individuals. If such messages are received, individuals should report them to the appropriate authorities and block the scammers.

Law enforcement officials remind everyone that these schemes are often used to steal personal data and funds from bank accounts.
