Yesterday, July 23, a tragic incident occurred involving a dredging vessel owned by the «Delta-Lotsman» branch of the state enterprise «Administration of Seaports of Ukraine».

The incident was reported by AMPU's press service on Facebook.

The vessel was engaged in scheduled operations at the "Bystre" mouth with a crew of 11 members.

As a result of the explosion, three AMPU employees lost their lives. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families of the deceased. Other crew members are currently receiving medical attention in the hospital.

Emergency services are on site, and details are being clarified. Further updates will be provided.

The state enterprise «Administration of Seaports of Ukraine» will offer all necessary support to the families of the victims and those affected by the incident.

The maritime channel at the «Bystre» mouth is temporarily closed to vessel traffic. Access to/from the Danube region seaports is currently through the Sulina Canal.
