The Military Intelligence of Ukraine has released information about a new UAV being used by Russia for reconnaissance and as a decoy to detect positions of Ukrainian air defense. According to reports, this UAV can carry a payload of up to 15 kg.

The device features a delta-wing fuselage similar to the Shahed-136, but at a significantly smaller scale. All components are reportedly of Chinese origin.

It is stated that nearly half of its components, including the flight controller and navigation modules, are supplied by the Chinese company CUAV Technology, which specializes in developing systems for UAVs.

The Military Intelligence also pointed out that CUAV announced restrictions on supplying its products to Ukraine and Russia to prevent military use. Nevertheless, in 2023, Russia presented a vertical take-off UAV that turned out to be a CUAV product available on Aliexpress.

Besides CUAV, various other brands' components such as DLE, KST, Foxeer Technology, Mayatech, and Hobbywing Technology are also utilized in these UAVs.

Additionally, it was noted that the UAV is equipped with a Chinese copy of an Australian data transmission module, allowing communication over distances of up to 40 km.

This device facilitates the establishment of a data transmission channel between the drone and its ground station, thus enhancing reconnaissance capabilities.

The Military Intelligence reminded that DLE engines have previously been used in Russian UAVs like "Gerbera" and "Parody," while KST servos were employed in UAVs like Shahed-136.

According to recent statements, North Korea currently supplies up to 40% of munitions to Russia for the war in Ukraine.
