Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and deputies responsible for international cooperation and supply. They discussed arms production, particularly interceptor drones.
Shmyhal shared this information on his Facebook page.
«On the agenda is implementing the President's tasks following the Technology Meeting on June 27. We covered all points. Primarily, ensuring our soldiers have the necessary equipment and armaments», - noted Shmyhal.
He stated that this also pertains to the protection of Ukrainian cities.
«We will scale up production in Ukraine and procure interceptor drones from our partners, which have already proven effective. We expect significant results in the near future», - emphasized Shmyhal.
The discussions with the deputies focused on procurement, contracting, and financing production, and prioritized various issues. Shmyhal outlined specific tasks.
«We will intensify efforts in each direction to strengthen our defense capabilities», - concluded Shmyhal.
