Art Installation Celebrating Odessa: A New Perspective

image

The work of artist Anton Logov focuses on Odessa, the city where he studied.

The exhibition marks the beginning of a nationwide tour across four major cities.

«I have a deep affection for Odessa and the sun, as they reflect each other in a unique way. This installation speaks to architecture and nature, love and harmony, dreams and the aesthetics of reality, — explained the artist. — My studies in Odessa inspired this tribute to the sunny city. The sculptures incorporate elements of minimalism and abstraction.

The sun over the city symbolizes hope for miracles and goodness. It reminds us that truth will prevail, and we all deserve a peaceful life. This piece is filled with childhood memories where time stood still, surrounded by laughter and warmth.»

He mentions that the pastel hues of turquoise and pink subtly highlight the tenderness of memories associated with the coastal city. Small mirrors within the installation act as portals to the future. Additionally, some forms of the sculptures resemble rocky landscapes and stylized trees.

The installation will travel to four cities. Today, July 16, it can be seen at the entrance to the War Museum. It will then move to Dnipro (July 17, MOST-city shopping center, open parking, level 4), Lviv (July 18, Victoria Gardens shopping mall) and Odessa (July 19 — August 3, Arcadia Alley).
