President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the signing of a significant law that addresses the issue of dual citizenship in Ukraine.

This information was shared by the president himself.

Zelensky emphasized that the law, passed by the Verkhovna Rada on June 18, introduces a series of changes regarding the acquisition and retention of Ukrainian citizenship.

"With the new approach to dual citizenship, we can establish stronger legal foundations for the unity of our people – millions of Ukrainians living around the globe, as well as those who have chosen Ukraine as their second homeland", he stated.

The president also mentioned that Ukraine can now begin identifying its first partner countries for the implementation of dual citizenship.
