Ukrainians who have not yet utilized compensation funds for repairing damaged housing have been granted the chance to submit applications for the service again.

This was announced by Taras Melnychuk, the permanent representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, via Telegram.

The relevant changes have been made to the Procedure for providing compensation for the restoration of certain categories of real estate affected by military actions, terrorist acts, and diversions caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, using the electronic public service «eRecovery».

According to the changes, recipients of compensation who, due to objective circumstances (as defined by the resolution), could not fully or partially use the compensation funds within the established timeframe are allowed to reapply for receiving compensation or its remaining balance.

Additionally, regulations have been established regarding the responsibility of compensation fund recipients for misuse of the funds if such cases are detected by the commission reviewing compensation-related issues.

As previously reported, under the "eRecovery" program, nearly 97 thousand families have received aid for the restoration of damaged property, and almost 20 thousand families have been compensated for purchasing new housing to replace destroyed homes.
