From July 7 to 9, an extreme fire hazard level is expected in Kyiv, as warned by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

The Kyiv City State Administration urges residents and visitors to exercise caution while enjoying nature, refrain from lighting fires in unauthorized areas, avoid using faulty electrical equipment, and follow fire safety regulations.

The authorities also reminded citizens of the prohibition on visiting forests and park areas in wartime conditions, both on foot and by vehicle. This decision by the Kyiv Defense Council remains in effect.

In Ukraine, there is a strict ban on burning dry vegetation, with administrative penalties for violations:

for individuals — from 6,120 to 12,240 UAH;

for officials — from 21,420 to 30,600 UAH.

According to Article 152 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences, lighting fires in prohibited places incurs fines ranging from 340 to 1,360 UAH.

The patrol police have also announced restrictions on traffic through Kyiv due to the heat.
