The National Bank of Ukraine has detected a new fraudulent scheme involving the distribution of emails that contain harmful attachments mimicking official correspondence.

This was reported by the press service of the NBU.

“Criminals are sending emails from various addresses, but in the signature, they indicate a fake email: nbu@gov.nbu.ua, which resembles the official domain of the National Bank of Ukraine,” the statement reads.

The NBU urged individuals not to download files attached to such emails and to refrain from clicking on the provided links.

The NBU also emphasized that for electronic correspondence, employees exclusively use the official corporate email containing the domain @bank.gov.ua.
