Today, June 7th, a tragedy occurred in the village of Zatoka in the Karolino-Buhaz community.
While swimming in the sea, an explosion from an unknown object resulted in the deaths of two men.
The identities of the deceased are currently being established.
Investigators from the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district police department, along with specialists from the explosive ordnance disposal unit of the National Police of Ukraine in Odesa region and employees of the State Emergency Service, are working at the scene.
The full circumstances of the incident are being determined, and a decision is being made regarding the entry of information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine marked as an “accident”.
The police urge residents and visitors of Odesa region to strictly adhere to martial law regulations: do not go to beach areas along the Black Sea coast that are prohibited. Please do not neglect safety measures and only relax on beaches that have been checked for hazardous objects and are permitted for visits.
