In the coming days, a significant meeting involving representatives from Ukraine and Russia is scheduled to be held in Ankara, Turkey.

The main topic of discussion is expected to be the security of maritime navigation in the Black Sea.

According to CNN Türk, this information comes from sources within the Turkish Ministry of Defense.

The meeting will take place with participation from military officials from both Ukraine and Russia.

Media reports indicate that the meeting is planned for April 15-16.

"On April 15-16, Russian and Ukrainian officials will convene at the naval command in Ankara regarding Black Sea security," the channel reports.

It is noted that military representatives from foreign nations will also be present, although their identities remain unspecified.

Discussions are expected to revolve around measures to promote peace and security in the Black Sea region.

Ceasefire Negotiations

Following talks in Saudi Arabia at the end of March, the US and Ukraine agreed to discuss maritime safety in the Black Sea.

During that time, discussions took place between US and Russian delegations, with Russia demanding full control over several regions of Ukraine.

Subsequently, Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested considering the idea of temporary international governance in Ukraine involving the UN and other countries.

The Kremlin leader reiterated his claims regarding the alleged illegitimacy of President Volodymyr Zelensky and other government bodies in Ukraine.

The UN stated at that time that Ukraine has a "legitimate government that should be respected."

The American President also rejected the Kremlin's idea of temporary governance in Ukraine.
