The Minister of Justice, Herman Halushchenko, met with representatives of the International Monetary Fund led by Gavin Gray to discuss the implementation of the IMF program under the Extended Fund Facility and anti-corruption initiatives.

This was reported by the Ministry of Justice's press service.

The minister shared key steps in the fight against corruption and priorities for the upcoming year.

«Our strategy for combating corruption goes beyond just drafting legislation. The digital transformation of the justice system aims to reduce corruption risks. Wherever we eliminate the human factor from the process, we avoid corruption. Projects like the electronic court, e-notary (currently being tested with notaries), and the digitalization of enforcement are part of this effort,» Halushchenko noted.

The minister emphasized that anti-corruption reforms are a priority for the ministry and are closely linked to Ukraine's European integration commitments outlined in the Roadmap for Rule of Law.

Additionally, issues of judicial reform, access to judicial expertise, and the execution of decisions by the European Court of Human Rights were discussed.

In closing, Halushchenko reiterated that the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine remains committed to ongoing anti-corruption reforms, as confirmed by obligations outlined in the Memorandum with the IMF, Ukraine Facility Plan, and the Roadmap for Rule of Law.
