The Swiss government has announced funding for twelve companies to contribute to Ukraine's reconstruction.
This was confirmed by representatives of the Swiss government.
It is noted that twelve projects will receive funding, focusing on infrastructure, public transport, healthcare, and humanitarian demining. The Swiss private sector will leverage its expertise and innovative, high-quality products to support Ukraine's recovery efforts, as stated in the announcement.
The total budget for the selected projects is over 112 million francs. Switzerland will provide 93 million francs, with the remaining funds coming from companies and Ukrainian partners.
The implementation of the selected projects is scheduled to begin in the fall.
Among the involved companies are Roche Diagnostics International Ltd, which will build medical laboratories in public hospitals, Innovatec Med Switzerland AG - which will create a radiotherapy center for cancer treatment, Glas Trösch Holding AG – which will replace over 32,000 windows, REHAU Verwaltungszentrale AG - which will install new locally-produced doors and windows, and Arthur Flury AG - which will develop overhead power lines for the Ukrainian railway system, among others.
Switzerland is also investing 18.5 million francs to continue supporting education reform and decentralization in Ukraine.
