EU Assistance to Ukraine: €400 Million for Education and Social Needs

As part of the European macro-financial assistance, the Ukraine Facility has directed over 400 million euros to support various projects.

These funds are intended for educational initiatives, healthcare services, and social support for internally displaced persons, veterans, and families of fallen soldiers.

Alla Basalaeva, head of the State Audit Office, stated that a significant portion of the funding is directed to the regions, and this amount is expected to increase until 2027 when the Ukraine Facility program concludes.

She also urged local leaders to responsibly monitor the targeted use of European funds for the declared projects.

In cases of violations, abuses, or fraud, the Audit Office will notify European partners.

According to Alla Basalaeva, the funds from the Ukraine Facility are subject to strict oversight, and auditors will carefully check all financial reports for their accuracy.
