On Monday, April 14, the United Kingdom transferred £752 million ($990 million) to Ukraine under the G7 credit mechanism, utilizing frozen Russian assets.

This was reported by "European Truth" citing Reuters.

The latest British payment to Ukraine is the second of three planned installments totaling £2.26 billion. The first payment occurred on March 6 and was also £752 million.

The remaining funds are expected to be disbursed in 2026.

"The world is changing before our eyes, reshaped by global instability, particularly the Russian aggression in Ukraine," commented UK Finance Minister Rachel Reeves.

It is worth noting that in 2024, the G7 approved a joint loan to Ukraine of $50 billion from Russian assets; the funds will be formally provided as a loan but will be repaid using income from frozen Russian assets.

At the end of December 2024, Ukraine received the first tranche from the US out of the planned $20 billion contribution, and in January 2025, the first €3 billion from the EU.
