The Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater showcased its artistry on the global stage. This year, their production of «Caligula» based on Albert Camus's work, directed by Ivan Uryvskyi, was presented at the International Theater Festival in Dublin, Ireland.
The festival featured six performances that attracted significant attention and sold out, receiving positive feedback from the international audience. Among the attendees were representatives from Ukraine's diplomatic corps and other nations, renowned theater critics, curators, and experts from around the globe. «Caligula» received high praise in international media.
During their stay in Ireland, the theater team participated in a discussion platform titled «Modernizing Classics and Creating Performances in Extreme Conditions and Short Timeframes», organized in collaboration with the Trinity College Dublin student theater and the TCD Ukrainian Society. Additionally, theater actor Oleksandr Rudynskyi conducted a master class on «Character Exploration» for Trinity College students.
A significant achievement was that the production of «Caligula» was selected for the international theater platform PROSPERO New, funded by the Creative Europe program.
