In Strasbourg, France, the European Parliament hosted the exhibition «Displays of Horror».
This exhibition, focusing on the crimes committed by Russian forces in Ukraine, was presented for the first time in a place where significant European decisions are made.
The exhibition was organized by the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II, emphasizing that the items displayed are not merely artifacts, but witnesses to horrific events.
«Each item tells a story of real crimes committed by Russian invaders: the shelling of a children's hospital in Kyiv, the creation of a concentration camp in Yahidne, mass killings in Izium, and the bombing of a printing house in Kharkiv…», the organizers stated.
Among the attendees at the exhibition's opening were the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, project curator Ondřej Kolář, and Boris Tarasyuk, Ukraine's representative to the Council of Europe.
The General Director of the museum, Yuriy Savchuk, highlighted the importance of holding criminals accountable, referencing recent events in Kyiv that resulted in further civilian casualties.
The exhibition generated significant resonance within the European Union, reminding policymakers that Ukraine needs support, and that evil must be punished. May each exhibit become a part of the justice owed to the victims of aggression.
The museum expresses its sincere gratitude for the initiative and leadership provided by Member of the European Parliament Ondřej Kolář.
