This biopic serves as a chronicle of the search for truth, beauty, and the spirit of the era. It is symbolic that we filmed in Odesa and Kyiv — the very places where it all began.

Every scene recreates the past, showcasing a love for Ukrainian cinema and for a director who viewed the world like an artist but created like a true craftsman. Dovzhenko didn't just make films; he lived them.

We aimed to follow this path under challenging circumstances, yet with an unwavering belief in the power of Ukrainian cinema.

The premiere is scheduled for 2026 — in honor of the 100th anniversary of the director's work at the Odesa Film Studio.
