On May 2, in Vienna, at the Aula der Wissenschaften exhibition space, the exhibition of the renowned Ukrainian artist Ivan Marchuk titled 'Tell Me the Truth' was inaugurated. It will last until May 12.
This time, 15 painting cycles from the artist, created from 1965 to April 2025, are displayed across two floors of the exhibition space in the heart of Austria's capital. The exhibition also includes works from the new series 'Viennese Rhapsody'.
Among the many art enthusiasts, local officials, members of the Ukrainian and Austrian communities, and diplomats present, was Special Forces Company Commander Dmytro Shcherbatiuk, who presented Ivan Marchuk with a gift - a Ukrainian flag signed by his comrades.
Marchuk described the exhibition 'Tell Me the Truth' as the most monumental event of his life:
«I walked through the entire exhibition and, to be honest, felt tired. Before each painting, I thought: “Did I really create all this?”, - he shared.
The exhibition is made unique by its visual design. Special projectors create moving images on the walls of the hall, transitioning from one to another in chronological order of the artist's creative cycles.
This combination of classical painting and digital technology creates an immersive experience into the world of Marchuk.
