Details: On Thursday, it was revealed that Ukraine's "transport visa-free" agreement with the EU will continue through the end of the current year.

According to Shmyhal, Ukrainian road carriers will no longer require special permits.

This marks the fourth extension of the agreement, demonstrating its effectiveness and success.

"Ukrainian exports by road to the EU have increased by 42%, while imports by road into Ukraine have risen by 37%. The "transport visa-free" agreement is a significant part of Ukraine's integration into Europe and a prerequisite for our EU membership," he added.

It should be noted that the agreement on freight transportation was established on June 29, 2022, as a show of solidarity from the EU with Ukraine in response to the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation.

This agreement, commonly referred to as "transport visa-free", grants Ukrainian carriers the right to conduct commercial trips to the EU under simplified procedures, without the quotas and individual permits that were previously required.

Additionally, Ukraine hopes that the EU will extend the current trade liberalization mechanism, which is set to conclude after June 5, until the end of 2025, until an alternative proposal is developed.
