Recently, several Chinese naval vessels passed through waters controlled by Japan in the East China Sea, as reported by Bloomberg.
Four armed Chinese coast guard ships entered Japanese territorial waters on the morning of November 16. According to the Japanese coast guard, these vessels had previously navigated around the disputed Senkaku Islands.
This incident comes amid escalating tensions between Tokyo and Beijing following comments by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaiichi regarding Taiwan.
During a parliamentary session on Friday, Takaiichi noted that an unpredictable situation in Taiwan involving military action could be viewed as an "existential crisis for Japan".
The Chinese government expressed its strong protest against Prime Minister Sanae Takaiichi's remarks concerning a potential armed conflict around Taiwan.
Additionally, on May 3, a Chinese coast guard helicopter violated Japanese airspace near the Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea.
