Explosion at Gas Station Injures Four in Germany

Four people were injured following an explosion at a gas station in the industrial area of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. According to reports from Welt, two of the injured are in critical condition.
The explosion occurred while servicing a gas tanker at a truck repair workshop in Castrop-Rauxel. Two individuals suffered life-threatening burns and were airlifted to the hospital. The other two sustained minor injuries.
The repair workshop, located near the gas station, was completely destroyed, and several vehicles on the premises were damaged.
The exact cause of the explosion is still under investigation. City officials stated that the fire broke out during cleaning operations on the gas tanker at the freight forwarding warehouse. Firefighters reported that the explosion, which happened on Friday morning, led to a subsequent fire.
Up to 70 firefighters were involved in the operation.
