On October 7th, SpaceX launched 28 new Starlink satellites into space, marking the 130th mission for their rockets this year. According to Space.com, the Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from the Florida launch site at 09:46 Kyiv time.
The first stage of the Falcon 9 successfully returned to Earth approximately 8.5 minutes after launch, landing on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
The upper stage of the Falcon 9 continued its journey, deploying the Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit, where they are expected to be deployed roughly 64 minutes post-launch.
Today’s mission represents the 126th flight for the reliable Falcon 9 and the 130th overall for SpaceX.
Just a reminder, on September 19th, SpaceX launched another 24 Starlink satellites into orbit.
