Meeting Between Zelensky and Støre: Norwegian Support for Ukraine

During his visit to Copenhagen, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held an important discussion with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to Norway for its unwavering support for Ukraine since the onset of Russian aggression, as well as for the $8.5 billion in assistance provided this year.
The leaders discussed the continuation of military support, particularly the strengthening of air defense systems and funding for drone production in Ukraine.
A significant focus of the meeting was on countering Russian threats. Volodymyr Zelensky and Jonas Gahr Støre exchanged views on airspace violations caused by drones in Norway, Poland, Denmark, Romania, and Estonia.
They also discussed the European Union's initiative to create a "Drone Wall." Ukraine is ready to share its experience with Norway in combating Russian drones and hybrid attacks.
Furthermore, they addressed the PURL initiative aimed at procuring weapons from the USA using partner funds. The President thanked Norway for being one of the first countries to join this program, contributing $150 million.
Additionally, discussions included energy support for Ukraine. The President expressed gratitude to Norway for allocating $100 million for gas imports.
